Political Subjects: a viewpoint from the psychosocial approach

This article aims to share the psychosocial accompaniment model that we have developed at Aluna to strengthen political subjects, as well as its characteristics its application and some of the challenges that we have faced.

Moreover, it presents some significant elements that have been recovered from this experience, and for this, we take on a characterization of the political subjects that we work with as well as an analysis of their situation as a result of the sociopolitical violence that is exercised over these populations as a strategy to silence their resistance, their denouncements, and their voices. The significance of seeing political subjects comprehensively in different settings, which our model proposes, allows for human rights defenders to strengthen their work and have tools that complement those that they have developed for themselves to resignify the experience that they have had in the face of sociopolitical violence from psychosocial accompaniment.
